PRESENTATION

One of the indicators of success in management is the ability to solve problems creatively and generate change. In many areas of management , a creative change or an original solution plays an important role in gaining a competitive advantage.

And yet, the enormous impact of creative ideas is one of the components in the work of managers that has traditionally defied quantitative assessment or the application of systematic approaches. Not only is it difficult to accurately assess an original idea, but the ability to generate such an idea is generally considered an inherent personality trait and not something that can be acquired: creative people are believed to be born, not made.

The view of this course (supported by recent research) is that creative thinking is no different (in its cognitive processes) from managerial thinking at its best. The main difference lies in defining the problem differently, focusing the search in fields where a creative solution is more likely to be found. Creativity is seen not as a personality trait but as a skill that can be acquired and improved with practice, and become a tool in the manager's repertoire to be used as needed.

OBJECTIVE

This course is designed to teach participants various methodologies for creative and systematic problem solving. The course offers participants the opportunity to learn how to solve problems, identify opportunities and generate those "elusive" ideas that can produce profit for the company with a very small investment.

CONTENTS

Systematic tools (called Creativity Patterns) will be presented in the sessions and the logic of structured thinking processes will be deepened.
Practical exercises will be done during the sessions for the immediate application of what has been seen in the classroom, and real cases where systematic creative thinking has been applied will be presented.
